Patricia’s patience, creativity and love come through in her teaching as a yoga instructor.
She allowed me to feel comfortable as a beginner because she explained things in a concise manner and gave me space to explore my boundaries.  I learned the importance of form and came to a deeper appreciation of yoga as a healthful and spiritual practice.  I felt fully supported on my path to wellness, balance and joy.

As a yoga instructor, Patricia aims
to develop awareness, balance and
integration into her teachings. She began her study of Iyengar yoga in 1993 primarily to help with high levels of stress. She found that yoga gave her more confidence, gentleness, and an expanded sense of ease. After three years of study, she went to India on a rather whimsical note; she wanted to ride the trains. Her journey, however, went far beyond these initially romantic notions and her visit to India made a deep impact on

what it means to have a spiritual practice. Since 1997, she has studied Vinyassa yoga and in 2001 she began practicing Vipassana meditation. Her skills come from both the Iyengar and Vinyasa tradition where alignment, steadiness and overall awareness of the body/mind relationship are continually emphasized. Using a slow paced style and focusing on deep internal movements, she encourages her students to embrace each pose and each breath with compassion, and wholeheartedness.
